Generac Generator Maintenance
Keep Your Generac Ready for the Next Outage
Serving Spring, The Woodlands and Tomball, Texas
What a Service Visit Includes
A standby generator sits idle until the power goes out, so regular maintenance is what keeps it ready. Our visits follow Generac’s service schedules:
- Schedule A: oil change, filter swap and tune-up.
- Schedule B: air cleaner, spark plugs and valve adjustment.
- Battery and control-panel inspection, with an on-demand service report.
- Diagnostic assessment and troubleshooting when something is not right.
- Battery replacement when the battery is weak.
Annual, bi-annual and quarterly service are all available.

Generac Maintenance Questions
What does a Generac generator maintenance visit include?
A Schedule A visit covers an oil change, a filter swap and a tune-up. A Schedule B visit covers the air cleaner, spark plugs and a valve adjustment. We also inspect the battery and control panel and send you a service report.
How often should a Generac standby generator be serviced?
Generac's general guidance is to service a standby generator at least once a year. Your owner's manual lists the exact intervals for your model, and GenServ follows them. Annual, bi-annual and quarterly service are all available.
Do you service Generac Guardian generators?
Yes. GenServ maintains Generac Guardian standby generators, both air-cooled and liquid-cooled, along with other major residential brands.
When should a generator battery be replaced?
A weak battery is one of the most common reasons a standby generator fails to start. Replace it when it tests weak or when it is near the end of its life. GenServ replaces generator batteries and inspects the battery at every maintenance visit.
What is the difference between air-cooled and liquid-cooled generators?
Air-cooled units are the smaller residential standby generators. Liquid-cooled units are larger and have a cooling system that needs its own service steps, so their maintenance visits cost a little more.
Where does GenServ provide generator maintenance?
Spring, The Woodlands and Tomball, Texas, plus nearby communities including Klein, Cypress, Bridgeland and Magnolia. That includes the Benders Landing community in Spring and Carlton Woods in The Woodlands.
